Description: X4: Foundations is a space simulator in which you can develop your own empire, trade and explore space. You can play different roles. Compared to previous parts, the dynamism of the universe has increased. You can fly on any ship. It is possible to build space stations from modules for various purposes (living compartments, production facilities, docks).

In X4: Foundations, for the first time, the developers allowed in-game factions to freely develop their own empires. Your actions will influence this process. X4: Foundations features a realistic economy. All consumable items are produced from resources. After proper research, you will be able to access teleportation technology.

Game Features:
The ability to control any ship: X4 will allow you to take the helm of any ship. From the smallest reconnaissance ships, various middle-class ships and up to huge aircraft carriers, you will be able to pilot yourself from the helm in the cockpit, as well as from a third person. The main focus of X4 was to move between your ships quickly and easily. You can leave the ship, go down the ramp, walk along the dock of the huge station to another ship parked there and replace the pilot, ordering him to give up the control seat to you.
Modular Stations and Ship Upgrades: The core of Universe X games has always been the construction of space stations. After earning a sufficient amount of money from trading or fighting, many players want to begin to influence the game’s economy, as well as its universe, on a larger scale. In X4 this is possible in a free and creative style. Stations can be created from a variety of modules, be they production modules, residential complexes, docks or any other types of buildings. The new map management system will help you easily build and connect different modules, creating your unique stations. Also, a large number of ship upgrades are available. All engines, guns and much other equipment can be added in the graphic editor, and you will instantly see the update on your ship.
The most dynamic Universe X: X4 is the first game in the X series that allows any playable races and factions to build and develop their Empires without restrictions; They have the same freedom to build modular stations as the player. Races expand their empires based on supply and demand, which leads to a very dynamic development of the Universe, when any action of the player can lead to a global change in the overall world.
Managing Your Empire with an Advanced Map: Once you have enough ships and NPCs to work for you as pilots, crew or station managers, the map will be your main assistant in managing them. Ships can be ordered with just one click of the mouse, and using drag-and-drop operations, you can plot their future course. Visually plan your trade routes, coordinate attacks with the help of your entire fleet, set up a hierarchy between ships, or send them to explore deep space.
The most detailed economics in the X series: One of the main attractive features of the X series has always been the detailed economics. Goods are produced at hundreds of stations and transported by thousands of ships, which are real NPCs. Through their trade they create the working economy of the game. It is the basis of our living and breathing universe. But now, with X4, we’ve taken it even further. For the first time in the X series, all goods that participate in the NPC economy are produced from resources, ships, guns, ammunition and even stations – absolutely everything comes out of the working model of the economic simulation.
Exploration and Teleportation: Instant and discreet movement between ships and NPCs who take control of your empire will continue at an even higher level. As soon as you have a fleet, you will be able to research a new technology at your Headquarters – Teleportation. Once you unlock teleportation, you will be able to move from ship to ship much faster and experience all the critical situations that happen to your NPC pilots. Any order you gave to the ship before will turn into a mission. But as soon as you leave the ship, the NPC pilot will take control for you and continue the mission.
Get into the Game: In X4 you can start playing through several game scenarios and different characters, each with their own role, set of relationships, as well as ship and technology. No matter what you choose, you will always be free to develop as you wish. Focus on space exploration, making money through illegal trading or even theft, commanding huge fleets or becoming the greatest entrepreneur. It’s up to you to decide.
