The events of the game take place a hundred years after the end of the previous game, and are already about the fight against a new threat – the illithids. By the way, you can create your own completely unique hero, who will belong to the race of your choice and have unique abilities and bonus characteristics. But you can also choose a hero from the list of ready-made characters available in the game.
As for the gameplay, it is quite simple in Baldur’s Gate 3 and is based for the most part on all the same mechanics that were in previous games in the series.
